Terms
The ground rules.
Last updated September 29, 2026. By using ApexLens, you agree to these terms with Practice Mode Labs LLC, doing business as ApexLens.
Early access
ApexLens is free during early access. Features and limits, such as the number of recordings you can add each day, may change. We will tell you before anything you already use starts to cost money.
Your account
You must be at least 13 to use ApexLens. If you are under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission. Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens in your account. Where your account has coach invites, a coach you invite to review your footage needs an account too, and agrees to these terms when they sign up.
Your recordings
You keep any rights you hold in your recordings and clips. Game content, music and other third-party material stay subject to their owners' rights, and your permission to use ApexLens does not grant rights in them. You give us permission to store and process them only to provide ApexLens to you. We do not use them to train AI models.
Upload only footage you own or have permission to use. Coaches, teams and academies must get the student's permission, and a parent or guardian's permission if the student is under 18, before uploading a student's footage. ApexLens is not for children under 13: do not upload footage for a player under 13 or footage that knowingly includes an under-13 child's identifiable voice or image, and a parent's permission does not change that. Permission for private analysis does not cover a public review link.
Full recordings are deleted automatically 7 days after they are added. Clips, and the aim-trail clips in Spray Check, stay until you delete them unless you choose a shorter time in Account settings: 7, 14, 30 or 90 days after the clip is made. Choosing a shorter time also deletes clips you already have that are older than it. Expired clips are deleted automatically and cannot be restored, and your match list, cuts and Spray Check numbers stay. Where an academy or team is set up by us, we may set that time for the account and tell you which. Where your account has review links, replay clips made for them, and for fights you save for review, follow the same setting: they are deleted at the same age, counted from when the replay was made, and the link then shows that the replay has expired while its numbers and comments stay. Until then they remain after the full recording is removed and after a link is turned off or expires; if you keep clips, they stay until you delete the recording. Deleting a recording in the app removes it, its clips, its review links and its comments straight away. The privacy page has the details.
Voices, audio and other people in your footage
Recordings can include sound: your mic, your teammates' voice chat and game audio. We may analyse that audio along with the video to produce your results. It is covered by the same licence, limits and no-training promise as your video.
When you add a recording, you confirm that you have the right to share all the voices and audio in it, including your teammates', and any consent needed to record them. Some places require everyone on a call to agree before it is recorded, so get that consent before you record voice chat. Permission to record or stream does not automatically cover uploading to ApexLens or sharing through a review link. If you are not sure you have the permission, do not upload or share the recording.
We analyse audio only to help explain gameplay. We do not create voiceprints to identify people or match a voice across recordings, and we do not use voices to work out anyone's health, ethnicity, religion or other sensitive traits.
Footage can also show other players' in-game names, such as enemy names in the kill feed. We do not extract or save those names as separate data. Share cards leave them out. They can remain visible in your stored footage and in review-link videos, which show whatever was on your screen. Share a review link only with people you trust.
If you appear in someone else's footage and want it removed, email privacy@apexlens.gg with a link or the details, and we will look at it.
Your footage and rights
When you upload or link a recording or clip (including a free spray check, with or without an account, and a check you start from the Discord bot), you confirm, and we ask you to tick a box saying, that it is your own gameplay or that you have permission to use it, that you have the right to share all voices and audio in it, including your teammates', and that you have any consent needed to record them. You are responsible for that being true.
You grant ApexLens a limited licence to store, copy, process, clip and analyse that footage only to provide the service to you, including showing it to the people you choose through a review link. That includes using our processors, such as Google Cloud for storage and computing and Google's Gemini for analysis, who handle it on our behalf. We do not show, share or use your footage in marketing unless you separately agree.
Do not upload or link anyone else's footage without their permission. A public Twitch, YouTube, X or TikTok link does not by itself give permission to download, analyse or share the footage. The free spray check only fetches Twitch links; for a clip on X, YouTube or TikTok, download it yourself, if you and the platform allow it, and upload the file. Twitch imports depend on Twitch's rules, and we may decline an import or remove imported material if those rules do not allow its use.
Share cards and review links
A share card is an image with numbers, such as a gun and where your sprays finished. It never shows video. You choose whether to create one, and you can turn its link off at any time.
A review link, where your account has them, shows video. It lets you show one fight, or a whole match, to a coach or teammate. You choose to create it, and you can set it to expire after 1 to 365 days. Anyone who has the link can open it without an account, forward it to someone else, and watch a replay clip of each fight (which can include footage and audio from before the fight as well as the fight itself), see the stats for those fights and see any Spray Check results you linked. The page does not show comments, your coaches, your account name or your recording's name, but the video and audio can still reveal names, voices and anything else that was captured, so a link does not make anyone in it anonymous. Anyone who can watch a clip can also record their screen. Treat the link like a password and share it only with people you trust.
Only footage you confirmed you have the rights to (a Twitch VOD or a file you uploaded) can be shared this way. Before you create a review link, make sure your permissions, including your teammates', cover showing the footage and audio to anyone who has the link. You are responsible for who you share it with.
Coaches. Where your account has coach invites, you can invite a coach by email or with a single-use link. A coach needs an ApexLens account. An invited coach can see only that review, add comments at moments in the fights and set a practice focus. Comments are visible only to you and the coaches on that review. You can remove a coach, a coach can leave, and turning the link off or letting it expire ends their access. Removing a coach does not stop anyone who already has the public link, so turn the link off too if you want it to stop working. Do not invite someone who should not see the footage; a coach can see everything a review link shows.
Coaches must use the footage and comments only for the review they were invited to give. Do not republish them or use them for advertising, training data or any other purpose without the necessary permission. When you add a comment or practice focus, you let us store it and show it to the recording's owner and the coaches on that review. You keep any rights you hold in what you write.
Turning a link off. This stops the link and coach access. A video address we already handed out can keep playing for up to 45 minutes. It does not delete the replay clip: the clip stays in your account, out of your clip list, until your clip retention setting deletes it or you delete the recording, which removes it along with the comments and the links. Saving a fight for review also makes its replay clip, which is kept the same way. We cannot remove copies that someone saved, or previews that apps such as Discord cached.
Discord
When Discord linking is available, you can link one Discord account to your ApexLens account and unlink it at any time. Our bot runs commands only when you use them. It does not read your server's messages. If you use the bot you must also follow Discord's terms and the rules of the server you are in.
When you post a result card into a channel, the card is a public share link, and everyone who can see that channel, and Discord, can see it, and the link can be forwarded beyond the channel. You are responsible for what you post and where. Turning off the link stops the ApexLens page but cannot remove a card image or copy already held by Discord or another person. To remove the message you may need to delete it in Discord, or ask someone with permission in that channel. We may limit or block bot use, including for abuse.
Referrals and creators
When referral links are available, every account has one (apexlens.gg/r/ and a code). When someone you refer signs up and finishes their first match search that finds a match, you may both earn credits. The offer shown in the app explains who qualifies, what you can earn and any limits or expiry. Credits are not money and cannot be exchanged for cash. We may change or end future offers, but a change does not take away credits you already earned under the offer that applied, except for fraud, a credit given in error or a breach of these terms. We may withhold credits for self-referrals, fake or duplicate accounts, spam or anything that breaks these terms. If you think a credit was withheld by mistake, email hello@apexlens.gg. A referred person can also enter a creator code at sign-up.
The creator program is by invitation only. Referral credits do not give anyone a right to revenue share or cash. Any paid promotion or other payment must be agreed with us in writing before the work starts. Creators must be 18 or older.
Disclosure. If you receive money, credits or any other benefit for mentioning ApexLens, including a paid ad read, clearly explain that connection with the promotion. For example: "ApexLens paid for this ad" or "I earn ApexLens credits if you sign up using my link." Put it where people will notice it before or with the recommendation, use #ad or the platform's paid-partnership tool as well, and for video make it both visible and spoken. Repeat it during live streams so new viewers hear it. "Affiliate link" on its own, a profile notice or a buried hashtag is not enough. Follow the FTC's Endorsement Guides and the rules where you and your audience are.
Describe your real experience and say only what is true. Do not promise results, do not say ApexLens is made or endorsed by Electronic Arts or Respawn, and do not offer other people rewards to sign up. Correct or remove a misleading promotion when we ask. We may end a creator's participation for any breach.
Stats and weekly progress
When available, ApexLens reads numbers from your video, such as placement, kills and damage from the end screen or on-screen display, and estimates others, such as shots fired or time in the ring. These are approximations from video, not official game data. Some stats may be missing or wrong. Weekly progress, when available, groups your own results by week and does not say you played better or worse.
Copyright complaints (DMCA)
If you believe material on ApexLens infringes your copyright, send a notice to dmca@apexlens.gg. Our designated agent is Stephen Witkowski, Practice Mode Labs LLC, 4030 Wake Forest Rd, Ste 349, Raleigh, NC 27609, dmca@apexlens.gg. Our registration of that agent with the US Copyright Office is pending. You can also send notices by post to that address. Include: your physical or electronic signature; the copyrighted work you say is infringed; the material you want removed and enough information to find it, such as a result, share link or review link; your name, mailing address, telephone number and email address; a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent or the law; and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner.
We remove or disable access to reported material expeditiously and tell the person who provided it where we can. If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, you can send a counter-notice to the same address with your signature, the material removed and where it appeared, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief it was removed by mistake or misidentification, your name, address and phone number, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, outside the US, any district where Practice Mode Labs LLC, doing business as ApexLens, may be found) and to accept service from the person who sent the notice or their agent. We will send your counter-notice, including your contact details, to the person who sent the original notice. Unless they tell us they have filed a court action, we may restore the material 10 to 14 business days after receiving a valid counter-notice. Material may stay down for a separate breach of these terms.
Repeat infringers: we terminate the accounts of people who repeatedly infringe in appropriate circumstances, and we block repeat infringers from free checks that need no account, including by IP address or device.
Results can be wrong
ApexLens can miss a match, split one in two, get a time wrong, misread a number or misunderstand footage and audio. Estimates and weekly comparisons may be incomplete or wrong. Check the footage before you rely on a result. ApexLens does not promise improvement, rank changes or any coaching outcome, and its results should not be the only basis for picking, disciplining or making other important decisions about a player. Do not use ApexLens for live opponent tracking, cheating or wagering.
Early-access features may change, fail or go away. We do not promise uninterrupted service or error-free results. Nothing in these terms takes away consumer rights or liability that the law does not allow us to exclude.
Acceptable use
Do not abuse the service, attempt unauthorized access, upload unlawful material or interfere with other users. We may limit or close accounts to protect ApexLens and its users.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and we will tell you about significant changes before they take effect, in the app or by email where we have your address.
